The German Society for Forensic Linguistics (GSFL) has just announced an event indirectly relevant to legal translation which explores issues of language, evidence, multilingualism and the law, and court interpreting.

The Fourth Annual Roundtable on Forensic Linguistics and Phonetics is going to take place on August 26th – August 28th in Mainz, Germany. The call for papers has just been announced. The purpose of the GSFL Roundtable is to provide FL/FP researchers, educators, and practitioners the opportunity to present and discuss their work within an interdisciplinary, supportive, and respectful scholarly environment.

Students are also invited to present their work at a special Student Day. During this event, undergraduate and graduate students will have an opportunity to present their work and receive constructive feedback from peers and scholars in the field.
